SF Analytical Labs is one of Wisconsin’s largest Environmental, Industrial and Food Analysis Facilities.
Founded in 1900, and evolving through the years, S-F Analytical Laboratories (SFAL) is an independent commercial testing lab serving testing needs for over 2,000 clients in Wisconsin, the Midwest, USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Using a multi-disciplined approach to serving clients, SFAL has six departments, three of which do environmental testing, two that do food testing (microbiology and food chemistry), and one that performs investigative analysis for a variety of clients.
SFAL is often known as the "can do" laboratory, listening to client's
problems and seeking ways to help them find solutions and achieve
results. All this is done while maintaining integrity in methods and reporting with
confidentiality imperative to clients.
The six primary testing disciplines include the following departments,
with cross service often performed by more than one department, as it
fits the needs/expectations of each client, and their required
turnaround times:
- Water/Wastewater (municipalities, manufacturers' discharges, individuals, etc.)
- Fuels/Oils/Soils/Sludge/Paints (manufacturers, vendors, engineers, municipalities)
- Toxicity/Bioassay (environmental biological testing-public and private sectors)
- Investigative Analysis (solving a variety of problems; testing special situations)
- Microbiology (bacteria in food, water, environment, manufacturing, etc.)
- Food Chemistry (nutritional label testing, fat, transfat, sugar, salt, vitamins, etc.)
Our qualified, experienced scientists have been with SFAL for an average of 20 years, with some having over 30 years experience mentoring our younger scientists who will serve future testing needs of clients during the next 100 years.
