S-F Analytical Labs has been testing for the private and public sector for 110 years. We do environmental and food testing, and both chemistry and biological testing. SFAL helps society protect the quality of our environment, air, food, and water supplies.

Our six Departments include multiple disciplines and often cross-serve a client’s testing needs, enabling the client to conveniently use SFAL as a “one stop shop” for a variety of lab testing. We also maintain alliances with qualified labs that augment related testing, via a subcontract relationship with us, to make it convenient for the client. SFAL is often known as the “can do” lab, willing to take on a challenge to help clients find solutions. Your people have direct access to the professional scientists who perform your tests.

Timely turnaround time and accurate results with integrity are what you require and what we achieve. It is our mission to meet and exceed these expectations for your business.

What we do…Here is a quick overview of our testing disciplines:

  • Investigative Analysis/Consulting/Specialty Services
Problem-solving capabilities clearly distinguish our laboratory from those that provide only routine services. Our qualifications and experience lead us to welcome a challenge. Our capabilities can be expanded to meet any and all customer needs. For more information, Mail this department or call (262) 754-5300, extension 1401.

  • Microbiology Lab
Provides a wide array of bacteria testing on food, water and other products. Attention to Quality and Customer Service is what sets us apart from other labs. They are always available to directly answer your questions. For more information, Mail this department or call (262) 754-5300, extension 1104.

  • Food Chemistry Lab
Performs a complete range of chemistry, nutrition (i.e., nutritional labels you see in grocery stores and in your kitchen), R&D to launch or maintain production of food items, and quality control services for leading food processors and manufacturers (fat and species testing for meats you buy in the grocery stores to assure you of what you’re buying). For more information, Mail this department or call (262) 754-5300, extension 1324.

  • Environmental Chemistry Labs (Water and Drinking Water)
Investigation, compliance, and research and development on a variety of environment matrices. For more information, Mail this department or call (262) 754-5300, extension 1405.

  • Specialty Inorganic Analysis Lab
Performs a variety of inorganic chemical analysis on oils, fuels, soils, paint, mercury, lead wipes, plating solutions, and sludges. For more information, Mail this department or call (262) 754-5300, extension 1406.

  • Bioassay/Toxicity (biological testing on aquatic wildlife) Lab
One of Wisconsin's leading aquatic toxicology laboratories to do testing called “bioassay”. These tests show clients and their governing agencies the effects of toxins in the environment on fish and water fleas (animals that are very sensitive to environmental changes). Known as the “can do” lab, S-F Analytical has also teamed with several environmental engineering firms to help them resolve site-specific toxicity issues. For more information, Mail this department or call (262) 754-5300, extension 1220.
