Since 1900, S-F (Sommer-Frey) Analytical Laboratories has provided
quality analytical services to individuals and industry. With an
impressive list of certifications from the DNR, EPA, Department of

foundation of this long-standing success, as each of them has
contributed from ten to twenty-five years with S-F Analytical. In a

Founded in 1900, S-F Analytical started as Sommer Chemical -- testing
coal for the Power Company and performing toxicology and criminal
research for the Milwaukee Police Department. Since then, we have
expanded our services and made every effort to find and keep excellent
employees. Our strong people orientation has resulted in a stable and
dependable workforce.
Our environmental division analyzes a variety of sample matrices
including water, wastewater, sludge, soil, waste, fuel, chemicals
and more. In addition to environmental services, we also provide a
complete list of food testing, including: bacteriology, food chemistry,
nutritional labeling, shelf-life studies, and fat claims. Other
specialties encompass air quality monitoring -- including asbestos and
radon, whole effluent toxicity testing, field sampling, and a wide
variety of problem solving projects. This well-rounded list of
capabilities allows us to handle even the most unique projects that
other labs must turn away.
